Cloudkillers promises valuable track feedback and more plays on SoundCloud.

If you have ever put a track onto SoundCloud, you’ll know that it’s a challenge to get visibility among the thousands of other original tracks posted there daily.

Cloudkillers is a new site that claims to help with SoundCloud promotions by publicising your track among other people who’ve registered with Cloudkillers and inviting them to offer you their feedback. As long as you do your bit by commenting on tracks submitted by others, you get your track submitted to increasingly more people in the network, who again are invited to comment on it in order to get their tracks publicised further – and so on.

The idea is that you get valuable feedback on your material, and your tracks start to gain traction on SoundCloud. The more you share your feedback, the more it benefits your work. It sounds a bit like a benevolent pyramid scheme, and of course it’s not the general public listening to your stuff, it’s other producers who are using Cloudkillers for the same reason that you are – but it’s still real human feedback and person-to-person promotion of your music.

Plus as it’s free, you’ve nothing to lose by trying it except a little time. We’d be interested to hear your feedback on how useful the service proves to be for you.

If you choose to give it a go, please come back and comment to let us know how you got on. Is there a similar service you use? We’d love to hear how you promote your original material on SoundCloud.
