he Pioneer HDJ-1500s in white; the company has also announced its flagship HDJ-2000s in white too.
To black and chrome you can now add white: Yes, Pioneer’s mid-range and pro headphones, the HDJ-1500s and the HDJ-2000s, are now also available in matte white.
We’ve yet to review the HDJ-2000s (maybe we’ll review the white ones…) but we liked the HDJ-1500s, finding them a capable, smart and stylish design.
As to who buys white headphones, I am not so sure. Trance DJs? Female DJs? Pioneer makes a bit of a habit of releasing its gear in white across the range, so clearly there’s a demand.

Hehe I’m no Trance or Female DJ but I love white
all my lates headphones have been white and I soon was going to get the HDJ 1500 and they made them white just in time for my replacement
[ link ]Good timing!
[ link ]Sweet, these might be my next upgrade!
[ link ]This is… AWESOME. I don’t like chrome headphones, too standard. And the black ones are kinda cliché, but the white ones? No one uses white here. Definitely want those (and they’ll make a perfect combination with my white and pink laptop. Yes, I’m male).
[ link ]It seems that DJ headset prices are heading the way of unnecessary and high fashion statements. I have $65 Audio-Technica ATH-M30, it covers my ear well and is very comfortable, blocks outside sounds, delivers every frequency of the music with respect, and I mix just as good as the next guy. I Don’t need every piece of gear to have a “gold label” with premium price. Yes they look good but not worth the price as headsets are not the most important piece of gear unless you have a serious ego.
