Here’s a quick talkthrough video we made about the Reloop Tape MP3 recorder for DJs, from BPM 2012.
While its unique selling point is that it can rip straight to a USB pen drive or even a hard drive, it is clearly also designed to simply make people want one through its “cute factor” too. Often with such products, that’s enough to make them a success.
Main uses? Recording a DJ set in a club straight from the mixer, and also recording your sets at home if you have LE software that doesn’t let you record straight to your hard drive. Oh, and it has a ground pole, so you can rip your vinyl straight to USB or hard drive using it – no extra software required.
Now you’ve seen what it looks like “up front”, is this something you’d like to own? Can you see one living in your gig bag ready to capture your DJ sets when you’re out and about? Or is there another solution you think is better? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
