The jogwheels are the biggest improvement over the original iDJ Live, now having illumination and touch sensitivity.

Numark’s cheap and cheerful iDJ Live controller has had a bit of a facelift and returns as the Numark iDJ Live II, fresh for the NAMM Show 2013.

Now sporting touch-sensitive platters alongside the bare basics of digital DJing (crossfader, EQs, sync etc), the Numark iDJ Live II is bundled with a splitter cable for easy out-of-the-box DJing without an audio interface. It also has a “new lower profile”. Read on for more, or catch our Numark iDJ Live II video talkthrough here.

It is aimed for use with both mobile and laptop-based DJ systems, but from the scant press release details we couldn’t work out the details (it was optimised for Algoriddim’s djay last time). We also have no word on any software supplied, price, or timing of availability, but of course we’ll grab all of this stuff for you when we catch up with Numark at the NAMM Show this week.

Do you like the idea of a cheap and cheerful DJ controller like the Numark iDJ Live II, splitter cable in the box, ready to rock for a low outlay? Did you buy and either like or dislike the original iDJ Live? Please share your thoughts below.
