DJ accessory manufacturer Magma has added a new high-end DJ bag to its line-up, the Magma Riot DJ Backpack XL. Aimed at the frequently touring DJ who needs to carry a Traktor Kontrol S4 or equivalent plus all the accessories needed for a DJ show away from home.
Generously padded, and with high quality construction and jumbo zips, the backpack-style bag has user-configurable internal padding, so you can use it to carry different shaped mid-sized DJ items too (such as a four-channel mixer, for instance). It should also be suitable for the larger Reloop and Vestax controllers – anything that’s the same size or slightly smaller than the Kontrol S4 ought to fit it.
As well as a DJ controller (with a Decksaver cover for extra button protection, if desired), the bag is designed to hold a large laptop, extra modular controllers (such as a pair of Kontrol X1s), headphones, timecode vinyl, cables and a substantial laptop stand. It has a zip-out extended to make it several inches deeper if needed.
Rather than being fabric, it is manufactured in a thick, high-quality and 100% waterproof rubberised plastic material, with water-sealing on all zips too. The back is deeply padded for comfort (that amount of gear would be heavy!) and the two shoulder straps have horizontal stabiliser straps.
