MixEmergency 2.4 now works with Serato DJ, which is great news for current users of MixEmergency and Scratch Live who have migrated to Serato DJ.
Since v2.4, MixEmergency now works with Serato DJ, which is great news for current users of ME and Scratch Live who have migrated to Serato DJ.

Serato Video isn’t the only video DJ option for Serato users. Since version 2.4, third-party video option MixEmergency has been compatible with Serato DJ, and the latest version adds even more controller-friendly features that let you map MixEmergency functions via Midi.

This is great news for users who want more control over their visuals during a set, and it’s certainly one more reason to dust off an ageing controller you may have somewhere in your bedroom for live performance use. It will be interesting to see how MixEmergency and Serato Video develop from here as two viable video platforms for Serato DJ. MixEmergency 2.5 is a free upgrade for v2 users, costing US$99 to v1 owners.
