We haven’t had time to test the claims, but here’s a set of wireless headphones at NAMM 2015 that Numark says is so low latency that they’re fine to DJ with without a cable attaching them to your DJ gear. They use the latest Bluetooth technology and NFR for easy pairing, and come with a cable too for more traditional use.

DJs may want to use them with the wire when DJing but then use the same headphones wirelessly to listen to music on their iPhones away from the DJ booth, which would be the most typical use scenario, but because they can link to the Bluetooth on your laptop while you’re DJing, if you use DJ software that lets you re-route your output audio, it’s possible that ou could use them for wireless cueing in that manner. Note that this isn’t going to work with Serato controllers, for instance, because they audio routing always works through the controller, but there’s no reason we can see why you couldn’t do it with Traktor or Virtual DJ, for instance.

They have a USB charging port for keeping the battery full for wireless use, a 30 foot range, and can achieve 10 hours of wireless use between charges.

What do you think of these headphones? Gimmick, or useful? Would you use them for DJing, or would wireless be more useful to you when away from the DJ booth? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
