Serato DJ 1.7.5 Released, Supports Rane TTM57mkII Mixer

Having pushed out a big software update last week, Serato has just released an incremental one to Serato DJ. Now at version 1.7.5, the new update includes plug and play support for Rane’s brand new TTM57mkII mixer. Smoother CDJ response in HID mode and better sound when scratching with Pitch ‘n Time enabled are among the improvements in this update, too.

As we’ve said before, Serato is clearly aiming for booth domination by making Serato DJ compatible with multiple hardware brands for models both old and new, which is a vastly different strategy compared to the gated nature of Serato Scratch Live where you needed to have compatible Rane hardware to unlock Serato. The days of fiddling around the back of the mixer to connect RCA jacks to your DVS box may soon be over, which is great news, in my humble opinion.
