The new and improved BX-D3 series come at an affordable price.
M-Audio has updated and improved its BX monitors series with the release of the studio reference BX-D3, which come in 5″ and 8″ versions.

M-Audio just released two new studio reference monitors, the BX5-D3 and BX8-D3, which are updates to the company’s popular BX-D2 series monitors. The bi-amplified monitors come in 5″ woofer (BX5-D3) and 8″ woofer (BX8-D3) variants and both units have XLR balanced and 1/4″ balanced / unbalanced inputs at the rear for connecting your DJ or production gear’s outputs.

M-Audio is well known for producing cost-effective monitor speakers for compact DJ set-ups and bedroom production studios. With the BX-D3 series speakers, M-Audio aim to provide quality monitoring at an accessible price. These speakers certainly look the part, however we’ll have to hold back on a full recommendation until we’ve had a chance to review them.

• The M-Audio BX5-D3 and BX8-D3 are available now for US$149 and US$249 per monitor, respectively. Check the M-Audio website for more details.
