    你好, Hello und hallo zusammen,

    my name is marcel

after graduation from university i decided to come to china, Tianjin for studying
chinese language and culture...after 2 month i decided to stay longer and my
"fingers started itching" (german saying) for some digital DJing again.
after waiting too long and thinking too much i finally bought a Controller from
a chinese Brand called Voxoa. My Controller, the C50 and the Voxoa C60 has been
rebranded by Stanton and American Audio as the DJC.4 and Versadeck, so some of
you may be spinning digital records on them too ;)

One day i found a review video of Phil on Youtube and started to watching his
Reviews and Instructions, "Wow, he really is a nerd" were my thoughts as i continued
watching and reading his Blog and Videos.
I am amazed that he shares his knowledge in such a professional and amusing way.
Now i am hooked to digitaldjtips and also djtechtools, no day where i am not checking for
new articles. Before i bought my controller it helped a lot to make that decision.

Here in China i am mixing and practicing every day, hoping i can find a gig soon.
Clubbing culture is quite different from Europe, we have biiiig dancefloors and small
sitting areas, here its the other way arround, looooots of tables, small dancefloor.

So how to score a gig here?
My plan is to get some followers on the chinese twitter/facebook and of course the real facebook,
upload a Top10 Dance Tunes Mix every month...and if i feel confident i start to connect to bar/club owners.

anyone of you has dj'ing experience in the far east?

Before i got back to Dj'ing my hobby was produce hardstyle with fruity loops...but thats another story.

Hey man Im from the Uk currently residing in Vietnam, my mate lived in tianjin teaching english the last 8-9 months. I think you would fit in down here in ho chi minh city, met a dj yesterday who makes hardstyle esque stuff on fruity loops, djs 7 days a week and produces during the day im like wow hes living the dream, so im going to try harder to get some gigs! Im just not that into hardstyle. Had so much problems with this new club thats opening they said will give me a job contract everything and I just keep getting told oh a few days, im ready to forget it and go look elsewhere.

I also discovered this site after looking for a portable controller for travelling asia and seen his review of the faderfox dj3 and here I am going to hopefully get gigs with it after seeing his review, great site I agree ive learned so much in the short time ive been here. Ill let you know of my experiences here as china and vietnam arent that different really! Welcome!

Phil, in todays World everyone just want to make profit, money here, income there,
so it's really awesome to share your knowledge and experience for free, with a better quality than some paid courses
