You need to give more information, your music tastes, playing style, where you play etc. and really, the advice you'll get will be to find the software you prefer, and work back from there.

well i will just be using it in the house, possibly a small house party with a few friends and for music i like mostly hip hop, rap and pop and i like scratching most of the time and not huge jog wheels and not tiny ones either also easy to use buttons and knobs with SOMEWHAT easy to use software and which every software it comes with i would get the full version regardless of the price.
    Thanks guys :)

i would also prefer the effects to be quite good ones

I am confused. The effects are usually software controlled. Are you looking for a Launchpad perhaps?

Well if you were forcing me to make an educated guess with limited information and taking my personal bias into consideration I would recommend you looking into the Mixtrack Pro. Again, I am not sure what your comment about effects has to do with the controller but I would think that for a house party situation you would get a lot from that gear.

I've had the Numark Mixtrack Pro for over a year. Great controller and I used it at bars and small private parties. it has its own sound output so that'll give you no problems. It either ships with Virtual DJ LE or Traktor LE. On VDJ there are decent effects, and I believe Traktor is famous for its effects.

Only bad thing is that I have been slamming too much with the crossfader and now there's some damage inside, when it's all to the right you can hear andsee on the screen that it doesn't 'see' it as all the way to the right, but it's vibrating between 70% to right, sometimes even up to 30%. However, I fixed it by taking the knob off, glue a small piece of paer onto it 'pushing' a tiny bit of space between the actual crossfader and the edge and now it hardly gives any problems.

If i had to pick a Reloop controller for under $350 i'd probably go with the Mixage. However there are other brands that offer competitive controllers and i would seriously look at the Hercules - either the 4-Mx or wait for a bit and have a look at the RMX2 when it comes out. If you do not mind second hand you can even look at some used Vestax VCI300 with the Fx add on, or jst get the VCI 100.

When does the rmx2 comes out ???
  19. Dj mixtrix New Member

Should i gt the reloop digital jockey 2 now or wait a little to see the Hercules RMX2 come out. I am in no rush to get a controller
    Thanks
