Hey everyone, I'm Brian (AKA DJ Wondershock) and I'm primarily an internet/bedroom DJ. I primarily mix UK Hardcore, breaks, DnB, hard dance, and dubstep. I'm determined to make hardcore mixes that show that the genre isn't all Anime music videos and drug shout outs. ;)

I have a 9-5 as a motion graphics artist/video editor downtown and have been in the industry for about five years. I am currently trying to fuse my DJing hobby with my professional skills as a multimedia designer.

You can check out my blog here:

...with links to my Mixcloud, track listings, a few reviews on equipment, and postings about being in the creative industry.

Anyway, I'm excited to be involved in a new online community and hope to get to know many of you!

We're excited to have you here too, DJ Wondershock. :)
  4. Welcome, are there any clubs up there that play that kind of music?

    Thanks for the welcomes, guys!

There aren't clubs that play the music specifically, but there are definitely a couple DJ groups that have a handful of hardcore DJs. I'm working on getting in to the community... but it's kind of an elusive one around here. Most of the clubs in downtown Raleigh are top-40s/house clubs with the occasional DnB/Dubstep show (edgy! -_-). A few of us are looking to change that...

Welcome to the forums Wondershock. I actually just moved back from Raleigh to the old town I had previously lived in in Massachusetts and I loved it there. One of the things I was excited to do (hadn't done it yet) was go to one of the raves, as they were not huge, and minors could generally get in. I planned on going in a month or so after I learned of them, but am glad I didn't because the main one that kids from my school went to (called it the Warehouse, as it was a big abandoned warehouse that was tricked out) was busted one night by the cops and a bunch of kids got arrested. I regret not going though because there is nothing like that up in MA. Anyway, now that I've gone off on a tangent, it's nice to meet you and I'm glad you could join the great community here on the forums.
