It’s not far off a week to go before Christmas – have you started your shopping already? Continuing this week’s series of wishlists, today we’re rounding out our DJ gift guide with this list of presents that are either under 100 bucks or can fit in a sock. You can also check out the other lists which we’ve linked to at the bottom of this page.
10 Stocking Stuffers under $100
1. MEE Audio M6 Pro
In-ear monitors have started to hit mainstream DJing thanks to folks like Laidback Luke who swear by them, as well as inexpensive options. IEM’s used to be tailor made for touring musicians, and as such were really expensive.
These days, you can get something like the M6 Pro from MEE Audio for even less than a pair of DJ headphones, and they’re great for gigs where booth monitoring is poor (or non-existent), plus proper use can save your hearing in the long run, too!
Price: $45 / £38

2. TUFF Covers
Sometimes you just want a simple solution to keep the gear on your desk dust free and spill proof when you’re not using them. Tuff Covers are made of heavyweight, waterproof nylon that cover all visible parts of your DJ controller, keeping it safe from the elements.
Prices available at Tuff Covers
3. Tuna Knobs
These stick on plastic knobs give you tactile control over supported iOS apps like the Korg Electribe, Lemur, and TouchOSC. Fun little toys for the twiddler on your list.
Prices available at Tuna DJ Gear

4. Ableton Making Music book
If you feel stuck when producing, this book gives you 74 ways to get out of creative roadblocks. Sort of like Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies card deck (that would make a great gift, too!)
Price: $9 (Kindle) / $9 (iBooks)

5. Corsair Flash Survivor Stealth USB Thumb Drive
Probably the toughest, lifeproof-est thumb drives available today. I’ve got the 64GB version with all the tracks I prepared on Rekordbox for club gigs, and it’s never failed me, although I did manage to “lose” it when I chucked in my DJ bag. Keep it on a fob!
Price: from $41 / £32

6. Reloop Modular Stand
The laptop stand for non-laptops – perfect for smaller controllers, performance pads, or even tablets.
Price: £25 / €34
Our full review: Reloop Modular Stand
7. Zazzle Laptop Sleeves
Not a fan of thick, heavy hardshell cases, although I find that I sleep better at night knowing that my laptop’s safe in one. If you’re not as fussy or neurotic as I am or if you’re just taking out your laptop for casual use, sleeves like these do the trick.
Prices available at Zazzle
8. Bop It! Beats
Fun party toy to play with your 10-year-old nephew who loves David Guetta.
9. No Breasts, No Requests
A collection of hastily scrawled requests handed to DJs in coffee table book form. I want one, and then I can stuff my own that I’ve saved through the years!
10. How To DJ On Your iPad (& iPhone)
The best-selling, easiest, and quickest way to learn how to get mixing on your iOS device, hands down (even though we say so ourselves…!)
Price: $4
Deck the halls…
