Serato DJ Update
The latest Serato DJ version brings accessory support for the Reloop RP-8000, as well as hardware support for even more controllers.

Serato has announced the latest update to Serato DJ, notching it to version 1.6.2. New to this version is the inclusion of the Reloop RP-8000 hybrid turntable as an Official Serato Accessory, as well as hardware support for the Reloop Beatmix 4, Reloop Beatmix 2, Numark Mixtrack Quad, and Numark Mixtrack Edge. Users can now also get their hands dirty with Serato Video through a limited trial version that’s included in the update.

Formerly the preferred platform of turntablists and timecode CD users only, with its controller solution ITCH always seemingly playing second fiddle, Serato continues to pay heed to the growing number of controller-based DJs, and it’s interesting to note that with this latest update, users can now try out a true vinyl/controller hybrid and see if it works for them – talk about coming full circle! Do note that you’re still going to need a Serato authorised sound card or mixer to use the Reloop RP-8000 with timecode vinyl; the Midi buttons and knobs are what’s now mapped and supported.
