From headphones to PA speakers, DJ controllers to DJ bags, and monitors to USB sticks, in this – our final post from Musikmesse/PLS 2015 – we round up the best of the rest that caught our eye as we toured the labyrinth-like halls of the exhibition. See you next year!
Hercules DJ Control Jogvision
The Hercules DJ Control Jogvision was first exclusively revealed by us at NAMM this year, but now it is in production with further improved jogwheels. Review coming soon…
KRK Rokit 4 Monitors
A new, smaller version of the Rokit monitors, with 4″ woofers, due this summer…
Yamaha DBR5 PA Speakers
Yamaha showcased a new range of monitor speakers suitable for the mobile DJ; this is the DBR8.
Samson Conspiracy Ableton Live Controller
A small, neat little Ableton Live controller, DJ-centric including a crossfader.
DJ Tech DJ Rec
Clever little device that plugs between your controller’s output and the speakers, and lets you record directly onto a USB stick. Great for recording sets “out in the wild” (or if your software is LE…).
Decksavers for Numark AFX/AMX
New Decksavers for the new Numark AFX/AMX modular controllers.
UDG Digi Headphone Bag
For the DJ who carries USBs for music and not much more than a pair of headphones, this may be all the bag you ever need to go to your gigs with.
Magma Mixer/CDJ Bag
Also good for CDJs, this new bag from Magma has adjustable/configurable internal padding for all use cases.
Corsair Survivor USB 3.0 Drive
Not new for the show or anything like that, but if you want to know what USB drive the pro DJs are using, this is it – we saw these everywhere!
AIAIAI TMA2 Headphones
These headphones are different because they’re totally modular and totally configurable. (They weren’t actually at the show, but we found a pair to bring you!)
UDG Maschine Hardcase
New to the UDG range, this hardcase is specially designed for the popular NI production tool.
Magma DJ Accessory Bag
This new Magma DJ Accessory Bag is designed for USB DJs etc. who don’t need to take too much to gigs. Note the sections for storing the Corsair Survivor USB drives as featured earlier in this gallery.
Liteconsole Portable Controller DJ Booth
This stand folds up into a bag, but is sturdy enough to hold a big controller, laptop and accessories. It comes with customisable panel (add your own logo) and optional lighting strips for a neat portable DJ booth.
UDG Novation Launchpad Pro Hardcase
Keeping right up with the new gear as it arrives, UDG has this hardcase for the new Novation controller announced at NAMM.
MunroSonic Egg 150 Monitor System
This system is the speakers plus a tuned, compatible amp: High end monitoring with distinctive aesthetic appeal.
Coming so soon after the NAMM Show, maybe it’s not too surprising that there wasn’t an awful lot of groundbreaking new stuff to report from Musikmesse/PSL this year, but it also reflects a maturing of the digital DJ sector, with fewer products being released as the market consolidates – not such a bad thing, in truth.
Anyway, we hope you’ve enjoyed our coverage as much as we enjoyed bringing it to you – next stop on the show circuit for us is BPM in Birmingham this autumn, and we’ll have some exciting news for you about that show and our involvement a little closer to the date. Bye for now!
Anything here grab your fancy? What did you think of our show coverage this year? Let us know in the comments!
