Serato DJ 1.7.8
Serato just released an update to Serato DJ that fixes some iTunes 12.2 bugs which have been plaguing users.

Serato just released an update to Serato DJ that fixes some issues with iTunes 12.2. Now at version 1.7.8, bugs such as iTunes folders not collapsing and unnecessary playlists (such as “Apps” and “Books” playlists) being displayed have been squashed. A freeze issue with some Serato Remote users has also been addressed.

We’ve written about how iTunes 12.2 erroneously added DRM copy protection to songs in your library when you’re signed up for both iTunes Match and Apple Music. While Apple released an update that fixed that, DJs were still in a bit of a pickle because when iTunes is used within DJ software, folders and playlists weren’t being displayed correctly. This update is Serato’s answer to that and makes iTunes 12.2 fine to use with Serato as of now.

• Serato DJ 1.7.8 is available as a free update. Head to the Serato website for the download and more details.
