Serato just announced the public beta for Serato DJ 1.9.3 that includes an updated eight-slot Sample Player. It builds on the classic SP-6, which has had six sample slots since its introduction. The update also includes an improved Midi controller mapping interface.
It’s nice to see Serato DJ get up to speed: the SP-6 Sample Player was introduced more than five years ago, and was made for Serato Scratch Live. It’s long due for an overhaul, especially since most DJ controllers these days come with performance pads that have eight-pad configurations.
