If you travel a lot for gigs, you may want to check this out: the Horizn DJ ST is a trolley that was co-designed with house DJ/producer Seth Troxler. It’s got compartments for DJ accessories, a detachable headphone case, and a front pocket for laptops up to 15″. It’s also got a built-in battery pack for charging phones and tablets, and it can hold up to 25 records – perfect for storing your DVS timecode or analogue vinyl. It fits in a plane’s overhead compartment, and you can take this and your precious DJ gear with you as hand luggage. It’s even got an optional GPS tracker and iOS app.

Club, mobile and touring DJs do a lot of travelling, and bags are absolute essentials. We love backpacks and shoulder bags here at DDJT HQ, but when we’re travelling for longer periods of time we prefer to have rolling luggage that we can use as a carry on, instead of checking them in (have you lost a bag on a flight yet? No? Luck you). The Horizn DJ ST also looks classy and understated enough that you can even use it for hauling your DJ gear to formal events and functions – great for wedding DJs who use DVS timecode records.

The resurgence of vinyl also means that some digital DJs like taking along a few records with them – we all know that even a couple of LPs are quite heavy, so having a trolley that can carry them along with your other DJ bits is essential. I flew home from a few weeks in London carrying over 40 12″ records with me, and it wasn’t an enjoyable experience (good thing they were amazing records).
