Facebook has announced the rollout of several new music features on its platform, that should see DJs finally being able to mix live and post their own mixes and mashups without fear of them being taken down.

Facebook users in “select countries” can now add songs to the videos they share and post, and also lip sync to songs live (in a direct swipe by Facebook at the Musical.ly karaoke app). But Facebook hinted in its Tuesday blog post that there is more to come, adding that it will soon start testing ways of “adding music to Facebook Stories”.

All of this means that the day when DJs can confidently post their mixes and livestream themselves spinning on the platform appears to be considerably closer.
