Native Instruments just announced a brand new version of its Traktor DJ app here at NAMM 2019. Formerly an iOS-only app, NI has completely redesigned Traktor DJ 2 with a new code base engine and a streamlined interface. It’s now a cross-platform app that works with iPad, PC and Mac, and is compatible with the Traktor Kontrol S2 Mk3 controller. It also comes with SoundCloud Go+ streaming integration built in, letting you play tracks from SoundCloud’s catalogue right within the app.

The original Traktor DJ was one of the first, and most successful, iOS DJ apps when it was released over five years ago, but updates to it have been few and far between. Traktor DJ 2 breathes new life into the ageing Traktor DJ line, and we’re liking the new look and streaming integration. We’re going to stop by the NI booth to check this out, so stay stuck for our full review.
