Arturia just announced V Collection 7, the latest update of its V Collection plugin suite of emulated analogue keyboards. It features the new Mellotron V tape keyboard, the Synthi V semi-modular synth, and the CZ V keyboard based off of the cult classic Casio CZ-101 from the 1980s. The V Collection 7 now boasts a total of 23 instruments, including 10 analogue synthesisers, five digital synths, and three electric pianos.
Plugins in the suite have also been updated, including the new Analog Lab 4 which contains thousands of sounds sampled from classic hardware synths, and Synthopedia which has 800 brand new presets for V Collection instruments.
Arturia’s Analog Lab software is a staple in our production studio because we love its sounds, especially when producing tunes that need old school analogue synth character. The V Collection 7 suite promises an entire universe of those sounds, with a higher degree of customisability and integrity, and it’s something that we’ve been keen on reviewing ever since the first few V Collections were released back in the early 2010s. If you’re looking to add tons of legendary analogue sounds to your productions, V Collection 7 looks like an awesome way to do just that.
