Check out this crazy idea from Ion Audio, hot from the floor of the CES Show (via the BBC). It’s an array of stick-on accessories to turn an iPad into a set of physical controls for DJing.

Being demonstrated by Ion audio’s Winston Eade, “Scratch2Go” includes knobs, a crossfader and jogwheels – the latter looking like a throwback to some of the worst jogwheels of early digital DJing, which nonetheless are bravely demoed scratching in the video.

The unit is demonstrated connected via Bluetooth to a powered speaker called the Party Rocker – which is actually a more promising product, offering party-protected audio output and a pretty bright light show, all from one box. Your after-pub living room raves would never be the same again…

What do you think of the stick-on iPad DJ controls? Could you see yourself finding a use for the Party Rocker? Let us know in the comments…
