Algoriddim just announced an update to its djay For iOS app. Now at version 3.1, it includes the new Sampler Editor that lets you chop up, record and even add in your own samples and create your own sample packs for use when DJing. A new full screen library mode has also been added for the Classic and 4 Deck modes, plus Beat Jump and Siri integration have also been added. Finally, a boatload of loop, sample and visual packs have also been included for djay Pro subscribers.

We’ve already taken a look at djay For iOS and we love the fresh, streamlined interface that makes full use of the iPad and iPhone’s touchscreen. It’s also a joy to use – it’s one of the simplest iOS DJing apps out there that still packs a powerful punch as far as DJ features go, including the ability to mix videos in ultra high-definition 4K resolution. The new update brings even more features, and we’re particularly interested in the Sampler Editor for crafting our own loops for live performances.

• djay For iOS 3.1 is available now from the App Store.
