Gravity, the music stand brand of speaker company Adam Hall, announced a laptop stand made just for DJs. The Gravity Stand is made of lightweight aluminium and can hold laptops from 12″ up to 17″, and has an accessory tray to hold DVS scratch boxes, audio interfaces or an external hard drive.

It can also hold Midi controllers like the Novation Launchpad, Maschine, Push. It folds flat for storage and transport and can be set up in seconds. The feet can also be removed and replaced with a vise, ideal for clamping the stand down on desk edges.

We haven’t seen any new laptop stands in the past few months, and though we’re loving our Crane, Magma and UDG stands just fine, it’s nice to see a new player enter the DJ stand game. Sure, laptop stands aren’t as sexy as a new DJ controller, but it’s almost essential to a comfortable DJ performance free from slouching and lower back pain. This stand from Gravity looks cool – we’ll let you know our thoughts once we’ve had a chance to review it.
