Melodics now has a Practice Mode that lets you slow down exercises to build finger muscle memory, along with new free lessons to try out.

Melodics, the app that lets you hone your finger and cue point drumming chops, now comes with Practice Mode. This lets you loop and vary the tempo of lessons so you can build muscle memory, much like the way a guitarist practises a guitar solo by practising a passage slower, and then gradually building up to the normal speed.

Along with Practice Mode is a fresh batch of new free lessons for you to try even if you aren’t a paying subscriber yet.

Finger drumming and playing with cue points is one way to add a live aspect to your DJ sets. It sets you apart from everyone else who doesn’t – add in some scratching to the mix, and you’ve got the beginnings of a performance package that’s hard to duplicate. Check out the promo video below.

Want to try it?

For our readers, we’ve teamed up with Melodics for even more content in the form of bonus finger drumming lessons that you can take in addition to what you already get for free when you register – that means you get even more chances to hone your skills before you decide to fork over some cash for the paid version of the app.

Add in the promo code “DDJT2016-MELODICS” when signing up, or if you’ve already got an account head on over to the Account page of the app and click Promo Codes.
