Nike just announced new colourways for its Air Max 270 trainers that take inspiration from five music styles that moved youth culture. This follows Nike’s Berlin and vinyl-themed Air Maxs earlier this year. The colourways include Hip-Hop which features a triple black design with gold chains printed on the soles, and the pink-and-fuschia EDM shoe.

Apart from music-themed shoes, Nike also unveiled trainers with modern art-inspired colourways, including an Impressionism colour (blue, naturally) and Geometric Abstract (Mondrian would be pleased). All are limited edition kicks and once they’re gone, they’re gone forever – unless you do your shopping on StockX.

A staple of 90s punk and rave culture, sneakers and trainers are once again having their time in the sun, thanks in no small part to big mainstream streetwear brands like Off-White and Supreme, along with sites like Hypebeast that post a deluge of street-inspired footwear on the daily. We’re not big fans of the EDM colourway, but we’re totally digging the Air Max 270 Hip-Hop (triple black is my thing). Check out the photo gallery below (and get your wallet ready!).
