Yeah I can’t think of many smaller serato controllers. Out of all the big three software packages, Serato has the least amount of controllers on the market.
The Pioneer WeGo is now available for Serato I beleive. Probably the smallest one now.
Vestax Typhoon may be tiny bit smaller as well.
The Novation Twitch MAY be a bit smaller than the mixtrack, not sure.
Other than that, you may want to try Virtual DJ. Plenty of controllers for Virtual DJ are small, including the Numark/Ion DJ2Go.
The beatmix is good enough to make it your controller for several years. Depending on the genre you want to drive.
There is no need to upgrade to any pioneer gear (though their highend DDJ-SX for example is very good), there are several good controllers also high end that are equally good and need to be considered later.
The Wee-Go is really a fun toy. It is totally cool if you DJ at home in the bedroom, but it can also be cool when you are already a well versed DJ (who knows all the basics) and want a light portable controller, just to fool around with or make a garden party at their house.
Friend of mine actually has one hooked up when he does his house parties, but he plays with his VCI-400 and has the WeeGo if someone of the guests wants to try around a little (like open mic hour), for which the VCI is much too complicated.

the layout of the beatmix(despite the fact that everything is mirrored) the extra feature of the gain and the feel of the jogwheels can easily emulate cdj djing, however i would strongly recommend going next to a pioneer high end controller or setup. you can practise for a few months on the beatmix and then put all your earnings on the upgrade. this is how i got prepared for club club djing,if you want to go into mobile djing or bar djing it is a different story

Of course ? Why of course ? You sure you don’t mean “and, of course, despite it being Pioneer!!”?
🙂 Happy spinning boys & girls!

If you want to learn DJing in the traditional sense then the beatmix is by far the better controller. It is a solid controller and has all the functions that you need to learn DJing the traditional way.

I am a beginner Dj and i am thinking of buying a controler. Although i am spoilt for choice, i may choose one of these two. I do like a bit more the DDJ-WeGo because of coloer customization, the Jog LEDs, Jog FX, VU meters and,of course, because it is pioneer!! So,which one do you suggest??
P.S.: i want sth that will provide me the tools to Dj and later not only after i have learned the basics.

Review of Pioneer’s new entry level WeGO DJ controller and HDJ-500 headphones now out on macableton.com. The WeGO is very compact, but feature packed, so it’s also great for students, people travelling, playing parties and so on. It will easily fit in a small backpack.

Okay so the short answer to your question is no, it can connect to more than one speaker. Most controllers have only one Master out (which the wego has), how it works is that you connect those RCAs to an amplifier, which is the sound box the speakers connect to, where you can control there volume and EQs of the speakers. So yes your wego can connect to more than one speaker, but only via an Amp (like all controllers).
Well I am clese at byuing the ddj wego realllyy soon but I have a question before I buy it…it haw only one RCA output…doew tha mean I can only connect it to one speaker?..cause I want to play at parties etc. With the appropriate machines can I connect it to 2 even more speakers?
Hi,
I’ve been teaching myself how to DJ for about a month now and bought myself a DDJ-WeGo to get me started. The real problem I’m having is how to mix properly, getting the tracks lined up in a set isn’t the problem it’s how to actually mix them together instead of just fading songs into each other. I’ve made 2 mixes like that and put them on soundcloud they seem ok to me but that just might be because I’ve just started.
Any feedback is welcome.
Thanks
Si
First off: Thanks Jack Hoesterey, the coupon code will be of use to me 🙂
No need to buy an Traktor Audio 2 IMO, just get an all-in-one like Mixtrack Pro, Pioneer Wego, Denon MC 2000, or a NI S2 / Novation Twitch if you want to spend that kinda money. Best bet is to go to a store if possible to find out which layout YOU like. There is no “best”.
The TA2 is a good deal for sure, TP2 license included. But NI has a sale right now where a TP2 license is only €39,- so I don’t see why you would wanna buy an extra sound interface which only unnecessarily makes your setup more complicated than it has to be or will collect dust somewhere.

I wouldn’t really recommend the ERGO or WEGO to anyone. In my honest opinion, there are many better controllers at their price point.
what do you mean by sticky?
