Hi everyone. I apologise fro asking a question that to many may seem a bit obvious, and maybe even daft, and also is probably covered in threads around, but I will ask anyway…

I currently use a Mixtrack Pro 2. It does what I need it to and I am happy with it. However, I would like to know if there are contollers that I can plug an external input in to provide one of the 2 outputs I can control with the cross fader.

Essentially I want my friend to plug in his synths and other machines, where he can create music on the fly, for me to mix in and out of.

    Thanks for reading

You’d be looking at something with a more flexibel input regimen and 4-channel stand-alone capability.

Pioneer DDJ-SX2 for example, Denon’s new MCX8000 is another option. You can usually assign the crossfader side for each channel.

    Thanks for the tips!

Just checked them out and they are out of my price range. I thought this might be high end capability only.

    Thanks anyway 🙂

Budget option: Get a cheap live board, plug your controller and all live gear into that. You don’t exactly have crossfader control, but if you get a board with faders instead of knobs for channel volume control you can improvise a little.

    Just a thought.
