    Just noticed iTunes has the PWL Records library, but I don’t want to pay money and end up with streaming rights from iTunes.

    Does iTunes still have downloadable files that I could burn on to a CD?

    I just went (PC iTunes) to store and bought a track, it downloaded and now sits in my iTunes folder. It’s M4A-format, but that should not be a problem to convert to something useful LOL

    I bought, downloaded, and converted something to mp3 a few weeks ago (all within iTunes) then moved the file over to my “iTunes-shall-never-ever-touch-this-machine” dj laptop. No issues.

    @Todd Oddity.
    Why are you converting from one lossy format to another? (m4a to mp3). You’re losing quality, plus as far as i’m aware, all the main DJ programmes play m4a’s just fine.

    @Ian – source file wasn’t lossy.

    Ah! …I presumed you started with a purchase from iTunes (256 aac),as that’s what the O.P.was discussing.

    In that case, carry on! ?
