    Understand your point but even if you’re playing from a score, you can do that with emotion or flatly.

    Case in Point, some cover songs can still be more emotional than the original:

    This song, originally by dolly parton, I feel is way more emotional and powerful as covered by the white stripes. Or All along the watchtower by Jimi Hendrix as compared to Bob Dylans version. It really is all in how you play, you need to be able to empart emotion into what you are doing. I feel like Ean Golden really puts his heart into his controllerism routines.
