As always thank you Dj Vintage that help me lots .. lots to think about there 🙂
Pete LindemannParticipantThanks lots Bob that was the advise I needed .. 🙂
Pete LindemannParticipantAny thoughts Ideas about the N4 ?
Pete LindemannParticipantYeah decided not to go for the vestax .. The ones that were going cheaply went too quickly anyway.
Ok Have a friend of a friend who has offered me a Numark N4 over the weekend for $160 US It is brand new he has had it for 2 years and never used it , its still in the box .. They are going new for $640US here so it’s a bargain,
I am interested as one of the limitations on my Mc2000 is not having XLR outputs .. which can cause me problems when Im plugging into a venues system . Im starting to get regular wedding gigs and the occasional club and band support gig too. And with the N4 can get a upgrade at a price I can afford ATM .
I use Serato DJ and not sure if the N4 has many if any more features than the MC 2000 like sample buttons .. loops effects etc from that. I noticed it runs serato video ..don’t know much about it .
I’m a little worried about the build quality being plastic . If I get the N4 I will need to sell the MC2000 to go towards some new speakers ..
Guys need your advise is it worth going from a Denon Mc 2000 to a Numark N4 ?Pete LindemannParticipantThanks for the reply Terry 🙂 Lots of learning to do .. but all good .. I have the instrumental track and the Track with Vocals is all he could give me . Do you know of any good videos etc where I can start with this ?
Pete LindemannParticipantWelcome this is a great friendly forum ( big thanks to Terry and Dj Vintage who are great moderators ). Yep also in Australia am in Melbourne and Use a Denon 2000 ..with Serato . think the first thing is to look at is what software you want to use then look at your price range for a controller . There are plenty of great Djs here that can give you advise when you have your price range worked out .
Pete LindemannParticipantThanks guys ..I also have Audacity .. what do you think about remixing in that program ? Yeah that course looks good .
Pete LindemannParticipantI have been using An ASUS 14 inch Has a Intel Celeron 150 GHz dual core and 4 gig installed running windows 8.1.. its thin lightweight it was cheap and works great with both Serato and Traktor .. I also have a 15 inch Toshiba with an AMD A8 190 GHZ quad core 12 megs windows 8.1 and it runs both Traktor and Serato great too.
Pete LindemannParticipantThanks Terry ,GK that all really helps 🙂
Pete LindemannParticipantJust been offered a Red Vestax VCI-380 for $300 US ,it’s a great looking unit was wondering if it a good upgrade from the MC 2000 ?
Pete LindemannParticipantHere is my experance so far and hope it helps . I love my Denon MC2000 with Serato , I started with a Reloop Mirage IE and Trackor .. ended up with the Denon with Seratowith a 3 way swap with equipment.. both the Reloop Mirage IE and the Denon MC 2000 are great and are not toys . Have a mate with a Mixtrack Pro 2 and used it a few times its good too . I prefer the Denon out of those 3 . and really love Serato .. prefer it over Trakor . I play RnB and African house and found it great for that music . However I am pretty new to Digital Djing and I would listen to what Dj Vintage has to say as he knows his stuff .
Pete LindemannParticipantThis a good place to start with African house some very good mixes here https://soundcloud.com/search?q=African%20house
Pete LindemannParticipantYeah the MC 7000 or 8000 .. be interesting to see that controller when they come out with it , the 4000 looks impressive and looks like it will be perfect for my next step controller .Looking forward to the Dj Digital tips review . now it’s time to save
Pete LindemannParticipantJust seen the video and news on the Denon Mc4000 think that is what I’m looking for 🙂
Pete LindemannParticipantOh Terry your Terminal Mix 8 videos rock 🙂
