Thanks for the reply, I don’t have a budget as such if something is worth the money.

I just want great sound quality. Which the trm had.

I don’t use effects or if I do it’s only usually a hi/lo pass filter.

I would probably get a mixer with faders this time due to the music I play, quick mixes between songs.

I know you’re a big fan of the denon series, but I think the xdj700s are brilliant for me, the same as the xdj-rc looking at the videos. So I think I would like to stick with rekordbox if I changed the 700s

However I don’t use dvs anymore so any mixer would be fine with me.

If you are getting a k2 and a 23c mixer then you have 2 soundcards. You are better off buying a k1/kontrol x1 which is cheaper. And using the 23c as your sound card for traktor.

I used to use a kontrol X1 and a mixer for traktor and can DJ off of that fine. Was using it in a club for 7 years with no problem.

If you are using traktor I’m sure their is a way of mapping a button or knob to change the key of a song easily enough on a k2/x1

Ive moved from traktor to rekordbox and have enjoyed it. I dj in clubs 2/3 times per week

I was using an kontrol x1 and a audio 6,with a djm800 however i was not using timecode. As the x1 was perfect for cueing, looping, playing etc.

I went out and bought 2 xdj700 rather than the xdj-rx as i want to get a rotary mixer.

The xdj700 are perfect and i enjoying using them more than i did using traktor, maybe this is because its a change, time will tell.

The sound is better from the xdj rather than traktor soundcard.

Just make sure when analysing the songs have the setting in normal mode.

Im glad i changed so far its been about 5 weeks.

with traktor you can pretty much map any button/knob to control whatever you want, i used to use juat a kontrol x1 and a soundcard connected to a djm mixer and dj in clubs that way. Its brillant, small, and easy to use.

I was going to buy one, but reading reviews online, people were complaing about engine crashing, not anaylsing songs properly etc. If you are using serato i think it will be fine, but no good for me playing out in clubs as i dont use a laptop.

    I went for 2 xdj700 instead.

I have just bought some xdj700 and after 30 mins have enjoyed myself more than using my laptop and audio 6. Maybe i will get annoyed, and think they are outdated. time will tell

I have a udg ultimate digi back pack and the MIDI obe is not far off the same size so pretty sure all that wont fit.

My 15 inch laptop just fits the back section.
    I take
    Laptop plus tray
    Ipad
    Audio 6
    x1
    Cables
    Cds
    Headphones
    And its pretty full

You could always try the xone k2 (k1 has no soundcard) as it has a built in soundcard and has templates for traktor use. You can have 2 pitch faders, 2 channel faders, 3/4 band eq only thing it has no cross fader, but you could always use a different knob or slider for this.

Not sure if this Is any help.

Change it from hold to toggle.

I’m a bit confused as what you are trying to do. Just use cue points.

Or use the cue rel button?

There is a setting under the x1 on traktor settings where you can turn the toggle on or off. Not sure if that is any help as I’m not sure what you are trying to do.

I have used a x1 with timecode and also just on its own and all works fine for me.

I have one but it’s the 12″ not 15″ as I got it cheap £60.

I think they are fine however you would notice the difference if you did a side by side comparison I expect. I have used mine for the garden during the summer and have not had any problems. Had it for over a year and its been fine. I will get another when I get round to it.
