Mind telling your budget first?
Anyways Rokit, JBL and Pioneer active speakers are often used and recommended for bedroom DJing :3 Just don’t get flat monitors (such as Yamaha HS series) that are rather used for studio purposes

5miiksParticipantUhm… Can’t really check it as I don’t have XDJ-RX anymore but do you mean ‘Time Mode’ button that is found from right side of the screen? I believe that’s the button you’re looking for :3
5miiksParticipantAight got it! Thanks for the extra tips, they were really helpful :3 Now this is why I asked here… :p
5miiksParticipantThank you Terry! It’s nice to know I’m on the right path :3
But where I actually need spare slipmats? Does something happen to them in long term use? I’m a bit confused ;o
5miiksParticipantJust as Terry said, for DJing you can pretty much use what suits for YOU the best. If you don’t see anything wrong with using your headphones for DJing, there probably isn’t. I like my DJ phones to be a bit bass heavy, well isolated and I want them to look cool too so I went with V-Modas myself.
Well, for production you probably want to have that ‘flat’ sound and this is why most DJ headphones (many of them are low end heavy!) imho doesn’t fit for production.
Summing it up,
Production headphones -> Can be often used with DJing
DJing headphones -> Doesn’t usually fit for productionand this is just my humble opinion 🙂
5miiksParticipantI guess your current options for standalone unit (if you dont want mixer+players) are Pioneer XDJ-RX and Denon MCX8000. I don’t think there are currently any other available on the market?
5miiksParticipantFresh remix from one of my fav songs out this year. This morning was good :3
May 28, 2016 at 8:58 am in reply to: Arrogance in the DJ Industry (Fellow DJ brought up a point) #24014615miiksParticipantWell what can I say. There are turds in every industry. It’s best just to ignore then and not to give them attention they want because they DO NOT deserve it 🙂
5miiksParticipantI second what Terry said. I used to own NS6. It lacks newer functions and my experiences from the unit wasn’t.. very good. Random crashes here and there out of nowhere. I’d rather take DDJ-SB2 (or any lower end controller that has modern functions) than NS6
5miiksParticipantWell thank you I appreciate your comment! 🙂 We actually extended the song for the video… But there will be more video projects in future. Probably shorter than this cause my tracks aren’t usually this long :3
Have a nice day^^5miiksParticipantDid it work or nayyyy? Cause it took me 30 mins to even finish uploading and many many many tries ;___;
5miiksParticipantWell this was bumping while I saw the new thread. One of the few songs that could actually make me dance, lol
5miiksParticipantI can’t really compare the programs as I haven’t used either one actively. But what I can put in this convo don’t go for XDJ-RX if you plan to use it with software. It’s meant to be utilized as all-in-one controller (there isn’t even full HID support for the screen!). It wasn’t even intentioned to work with rekordbox DJ (performance mode) at start but later Pioneer surprised the RX owners since there were so many requests for rbDJ support. You get more for your money with DDJ series if you’re using software. Just my humble opinion as XDJ-RX user 🙂
Good luck with your choice tho, hope you make the right one!

5miiksParticipant@deathy Yea and I saw your like hehe >:p
5miiksParticipant@D-Jam But it’s from Japan 🙂 It’s not live song but I agree the vocals sounds bit like they were live, and the crappy sound quality isn’t doing anything good :< So yeah, there is ‘polished’ version of this but underground Japanese music can be.. hard to find if you don’t speak the language :p
