Denon DJ Announces Serato For SC6000/M Prime Media Players

Denon DJ has announced that its SC6000 Prime and SC6000M Prime media players will be compatible with Serato DJ Pro software as of next week.

All four decks of Serato can be controlled, and the players get RGB waveforms and easy access to Serato’s library via their 10″ touchscreens.

All Serato’s main features are included, from basic DJ playback and mixing, to hot cues, loops, loop roll, slicer, sampler, beatjump and Pitch Play (Pitch ‘N Time DJ licence required for the latter).

All important track information and functions are available including time, loop, sync, BPM, pitch range, pitch percentage adjust, and needle-drop track search.

The players are classed as “Official Serato Accessories”, meaning they need to be used with a mixer that works with Serato – which most do nowadays, including the Denon DJ X1850 Prime that pairs with these players.

The functionality comes with the forthcoming Serato DJ Pro version 2.4.6, due Tuesday 9 March. Players will need to be updated to the Engine OS 1.6 firmware.
