Fluid Audio, creators of the FX8 and FPX7 home studio monitors, recently unveiled its SRI-2 audio interface for Mac and PC. It’s got two combo TRS mic / line inputs, two pairs of monitor outputs, a headphone output, and a centre knob for controlling input and output levels all housed in an aluminium chassis.

The two monitor outputs are great for comparing your mix on two different sets of studio monitors, and the headphone output gives you a third monitoring option for really zeroing in on your mix. It’s connects to your laptop via USB and it ships with the Cubase LE DAW as well as Cubase LE for the iPad.

Fluid Audio is known for its affordable yet high quality monitors, and it’s great to see the company put out an affordable audio interface aimed at bedroom producers. It looks sleek and is small enough to fit on top of any home studio set-up, and it’s got enough outputs for DJ/producers who want to check their mixes on several playback systems. Watch out for our review of it soon.
