    What nietzSKY said was great and no you dont need 4 channels i have the s4 and theyre harder to learn in a way also controllers that have 4 tend to be more expensive. Also virtual dj is great but depending on what you like i think since youre young you might wanna learn traktor i had vdj but switched to traktor i find it alot more fun. Also the s2 is a great controller.

    That works too id suggest changing it in setting tho cause then you always have it and you have an extra effect slot too! But whateverbworks for you.

    Haha np also another good way is you can map the gain knob on the s2 to a filter when pressing shift pretty easily and then you can filter the song you want to mix in abit then bring then filter the other song down while you bring the new songs filter to normal

    im 14 ive been djing for 8 months i think. i had a mixtrack pro but recently upgraded to an NIs4 but the mixtrack was great but got too easy also cause youre still in school do what im doing and take useful classes towards djing like music,photography,graphic design and others depending on what your school offers also practice alot.

    Thanx i dont really know what i wanna do with it yet but im still thinking and i know the s4 is great it has everything i want and more but nobody wanted to buy my mixtrack pro so i thought i would try and do something with it so if anyone has any ideas they would be appreciated.

    OK thanx that worked but i have like 40 songs that worked on vdj and work in itues but when i press load in deck or try and analyze it the bar at the botom flashes red and says not compadible or something i dont know why tho its really annoying and some of them are some of my best songs

    i made a playlist and that worked but i cant do that to my itunes collection and the songs i analyzed in the playlist have 0.00 as there bpm under traktor so should i not use itunes to sort my music? what should i use instead like just (my computer) and create playlists in traktor i currently only have like 200 songs since i just got my laptop so its not that hard to organize yet.

    SOLUTION FOUND!!! i have usb 3.0 ports on my pc which you need a special driver for i downloaded it from their website now up and running.

    Its an acer it powered my mixtrack which isvway less power but im gonna buy a power cable and see how it goes if that foesnt work idk what to do

    Theres no option to do that ill explain what happens every time again. Ok so i click on traktor press the power button on the s4 the lights flash then only the master is blinking. i went to settings and looked at audio device the only option was my laptop ASIO4ALLv2. I have it under internal mixing. under controller manager i added kontrol s4 and all the mappings are there now the inport says n/a and i cant click on out port bcuz its dimmed. so i dont know whats wrong but i tried going to setup wizard at the bottom had it plugged in but there were only 3 options maschine, audio kontrol 1 and kore 2. but for the heck of it i tried setting up my mixtrack pro and it worked but my s4 doesnt like what the hell am i doing wrong?

    I know that i’m probs gonna buy one but it doesn’t recognize or work at all except for the start up lights and the blinking master led light i cant figure it out maybe its something with the settings when i go under konrol s4 should there be all the mappings of all the buttons because its blank i pressed restore how to i re import the mapping?

    Ok thanx DJ McNee i always thought it sounded weird xause i hear it so often but ill go with ot. Is it possible to change your name on here or do i have to make a new account?
