    I definitely agree, i used to just listen to music as enjoyment, but once i took the digital dj course, i’m always counting bars of music. =( but like phil said in the course its a great skill to have. When i feel bored of listening to the music i’m mixing i just go to soundcloud or mixcloud and pick out a podcast or set and just listen for new songs and new ways to mix.

    Depends on what you type of genre you mix. I mix mostly edm and i usually switch the low eqs first for 8 bars when i’m introducing a new track followed by the mids then start to cross fade on the 4,2,3,4to the new song. I haven’t played enough with the individual volume faders of each deck the tunes but some djs use the individual faders to mix and keep the centre fader in the middle
