thanks Vintage, for taking the time!

This leads to another question: How do you manage the S8 with no jogs? What is the S8 feature that makes the job of the jogs?

    Thanks again!

Very proud to be a turntablist and an old way beat matcher etc… but wasn’t sync supposed to do the beatmatch perfectly “every” time? If it doesn’t do job and it actually worsen your own mixing… what is digital deejaying for…? I thought the idea was to let software do the beat match so you can spend time in more creative things. Maybe we have to go back to vinyl again…? That would be ok for me

Talkin’ about Djay… Doesn’t happen to you that you have to really adjust your mix manually? My experience: 80 percent of times you get a decent “sync” mix. The rest of the times you have to adjust the pitch yourself… yes, the old way

Ok! Thanks Spars, Vintage, for your responses!!

One last question: What should be the best of the best choice of a controller, if you had a decent budget, for Djay Pro software and a MacBook Pro.

By now, I have an idea, but. What would you, professionals, do?

    thanks again!

    T.

    Thanks Vintage! for your response.

I’m a veteran in deejaying, with a long career as a professional. I was lucky enough to start with a pair of 1200 and a trashy mixer, back in the glorious 80s.

I’m not in playing gigs as a professional any more, I eventually play in venues but now is just for fun for an audience of mainly friends.

Last piece of equipment I bought was a pair of Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK2. That’s where I stopped buying new equipment.

I’m totally new in laptop-controller djing and as I am not in the business any more, my aim is only personal fun.

I find Algoriddims DJay (you’re right, not Apple’s) very good. I play it in my laptop, no controller at all.

So what should I choose If I have a mid-range budget. I don’t want entry-level toys… don’t need the state of the art.

Any controller will match with may MacBook Pro and Djay Pro installed?

    Thanks again!!!

(sorry for my bad english, not my mother language, spanish is)
