Im digging your style!
actionPakParticipantGreat song selection on this man
You used some tracks that I am now playing in my live sets!June 14, 2012 at 4:50 am in reply to: Nicky Romero vs. Justice – WTF Friends (2SHAE! Mashup) #1006159actionPakParticipantGreat mashup man! Just out of curiosity, how did you get the sample at the end to sorta get in an infinite loop and pitch up towards the end? I am not a Numark NS6 user, but would like to try this out on my Traktor S4. Cheers!
Also, it would be great if you could listen and comment on my latest mix. Thanks.

actionPakParticipantLeft you some comments directly on your Soundcloud page
Would be great if you could return the favor and do the same for me! Cheers manactionPakParticipantI am a huge advocate of mentorship programs but many DJs I have met to this day are very self centered…
I myself learned everything on my own but given my personality, I love to share what I have discovered to othersJune 14, 2012 at 2:04 am in reply to: What one lesson has playing in front of a real audience taught you about programming / song choice? #1006151actionPakParticipantAlways intersperse your set with some songs the crowd knows (i.e., radio friendly, commercial remix) or else they will all leave the dancefloor…. 🙁
actionPakParticipantAgreed…
actionPakParticipantThe EDM scene in Korea has been blowing up since a few years back
There are plenty of new clubs… not sure about the quality of the music as it varies from places to place
The hottest club around now is called Octagon.. the dancefloor is ridiculously small but it is built to cater more tables (girls who go there are most beautiful though). Another club called Ellui is very reminiscent of the layout of Space in Ibiza. There are some other smaller clubs here and there but they’re quite small and not that fun… There are plenty of other bars and lounges in Itaewon which caters to a more foreigner crowd.Terry, you’ll just be missing out on UMF KOREA (will take place in Early August). I am sure there will be plenty of other special events in September. This site usually lists out all the parties in Korea at any given month.

In the meantime ill check out your soundcloud page!actionPakParticipantIm no expert in this style, but I am definitely loving the energy towards the end of the mix
Would be great to also comment on my latest mix! Cheers.

actionPakParticipantGreat seamless mixing
I think it is also important to add some variety into your transitions (maybe some loops and try mixing in different breakdowns). I definitely heard some key clashes here and there…
And yes, as Goomo mentioned, the MSTKRFT track noticeably brought down the energy level… This track tends to do that – what I do to remedy this problem is to play a 4-8 bar loop (usually from the end of the previous track) with a hi-pass filter to somewhat maintain the previous energy levelHope this helps
If you have a chance, please check out my latest mix. Cheers!

actionPakParticipantI completely agree with this… You always get these wannabe skank girls coming up to your booth, asking you in a very ditzy blonde manner saying “Uhmm excuse me… can you please play some Rihanna or some David Guetta?”

This increase in RAM usage is not good… Wouldn’t this increase the frequency of the audio drops and pops common in Traktor?
actionPakParticipantI usually download roughly 10 songs per day… From there I divide them up into three categories:
1) Track that I can definitely play in my sets (i.e., tracks that are 100% my style)
2) Songs that I can squeeze in here and there
3) Tracks that go straight into what I call “Listen again after 1-3 months” (aka the dump)Usually from the 70 tracks I dload per week, about 10 make it to the first category. Category 2 gets even fewer selections… You can now imagine how many files go into my “Listen again…” dump folder….
actionPakParticipantI also recommend the Kontrol X1 – relatively easy to learn and simple to carry around! shouldn’t add too extra weight to your S2
