Thank you guys for all this support. At first I had no idea what to do, now it would seem I have too many options…which is a great problem to have 😀 If I could bug you guys for your expertise a bit more..

Would you both (bob and ed) agree that the ebtech humx is the best way to go? I’m trying to save money where possible, and if another solution could be an equally good path for some less money I’ll take it. My controller has balanced XLR outputs in the back, so if I can just take a dual XLR to 3.5mm to connect my controller to PA system do you think that would be the safest route to eliminate hum from my speakers?

Bob, when you say “otherwise you need a balanced output from your controller” – if I purchase and use a dual XLR to 3.5mm cable to connect to my PA speakers, would this not create a balanced output from my controller? Would purchasing grounded RCA to 3.5mm have the same effect on the problem as dual XLR to 3.5mm cables?

THERE IS ANOTHER ISSUE that may be involved (i really have no clue). When listening to music through my headphones (plugged into my controller) the music is incredibly quiet. I have the gain and master volumes turned up on max, and yet I get music at an extremely low level through my headphones. Do you have any ideas on why this could be happening, and could this be related to my other problems? I have my fingers crossed that you guys are electrical wizards (which, so far you are) because I’ve been concerned these are controller based issues and may have to purchase a new controller which I don’t necessarily have the funds to do right now.

Thanks for all your help I really appreciate it!!!
