I eventually settled for the SR since the deal on the SX didn’t go through. I am quite happy with it, an SX2 might be my next step. But for now: time to practice. My first gig with the SR (supporting a small festival at a camping :°) went well.
    Thanks again everyone!

I can’t see myself needing DVS any time soon, so that’s not a problem to me. The SX2 is more recent of course, so I suppose it wouldn’t go unsupported as soon as the SX probably will. An SX2 is out of my range, even second hand, so that might be a plus for the more recent SR over the old SX. Thanks for your input DJ Vintage!

Thanks Dj Maxy. The stand-alone capability is a strong point. I always worry about worse-case scenarios, and the SX could be part of a back-up plan in itself, true. Hm, not an easy choice!

Thanks for your input Snowbro. True, I would probably only use the extra channels to have that extra track ready to go when needed: an emergency dancefloor-filler, some request, a specific song that goes with some act that will be performed by guests,.. I wouldn’t play more than 2 tracks at a time often. And anyway, an SR still has some 4-deck capabilities.
