for me it depends on whos doing it. if its just a normal clubgoer i smile and nod and move on,if its some dj who just came out the bed room ill listen and if its something useful ill take it in. if its a dj of long standing who knows what there saying ill take in and learn from it and try to make myself a better dj from it

you have to remember that we are our own worst critics, after a gig i find the nearest mc donalds get some chicken nuggets go home and play some playstation 3 (ufc) and the next day try to find some new music for the next night. witch is funny cause when i was mma fighting after a match i would go home and dj lol

i would recomend any of the high end vestax controllers if youre worried about size(vci 100-300) if size is not an issue a ns6 or ns7 from numark would do good but they are pricey. i have a low end vestax typhoon and it worked well for me. and i just got a american audio vms4 and its a lovely controller for what i do.

i started with virtual dj 4 ( a long time ago) im up to 7 now. ive tried traktor but couldnt get the hang of it so im back to vdj. im a hip-hop dj so vdj seems easier for me than trakor. trakor seems more like a musical(chopping, aranging) type software where as vdj is for straight cutting, scratching, blending hip-hop djing. just my oppinion

I started out as a producer, before djing….

thats kind of funny to me(not in a bad way) because in hip-hop most of the best producers were djs(rza, pete rock, premire, babu) i find it a little odd when i see a producer that wasnt a dj

i started with a hurcules mp3 and i hated it so i lft the controller thing alone for a few years.i decided to try again so i go a vestax typhoon, and then in the same week got a mixtrack pro as a gift.so i got lucky. i use the vestax as my main unit and the mixtrack as my backup. ive always used virtual dj so its a win/win for me

I get this from a lot of djs. that hip-hop djs hate djs from other genres or that a _____ dj can easily dj other genres (im a hip-hop dj and i tried to do jungle thinking it was easy and wound up sounding like crap. lol so i can attest its not easy)
