The Vestaax VCI-380 has two line-ins in the back that can connect to turntables if you want to use the VCI as a mixer; those same line-ins can connect to a DVS box, which then connects to your computer and your turntables for using the VCI’s mixer for DVS. You would need a DVS box, however, but this option may still turn out cheaper than the alternative, especially if you can still find a VCI-380 at a sale price, since as noted by DJ Vintage, Vestax apparently has ceased to exist. I still love my VCI-380, though, and am glad I bought it.

    Thanks for the reply, Terry.

I see that the VCI-400DJ is out now (worldwide minus the USA, but up for pre-orders here), so I suppose that could account for it. If I’m lucky, perhaps a price drop is forthcoming…

BTW, I just got done chatting online with a sales rep at Pro Audio Star about the Vestax VCI-380; they list the “limited edition” red version for the going price of $549. No listing for the white “limited edition” version, and, after checking inventory, they said they were out of both the red and white ones and had only 1 original black one in the warehouse, and the catch is they wanted $799 for it!? That’s more than I’ve seen for ANY version of this controller.

Does anybody have any info on this? Phil, I took your endorsement of this controller to heart and have been saving for one, but the availability and pricing seems to be going a bit off the rails.
