    Plugged everything up in our kitchen last night. Looks and sounds good. Thanks for all the advice. Our first gig is to DJ for our Church youth group (a free event, but we hope to get some exposure from it) on March 14th. Just need to get more events on the books now.

    Thanks. Question about Jacks.

    Can you simply use an unbalanced to a balanced connector to make it a balanced format? For example, if i used and rca to xlr adapter?

    Is the 1/4″ phono balanced or unbalanced?

    I ask because some of the mixers only have phono in or outs. Some have rca connectors a day some have the xlr. Just trying to make sure we set up the system with the best possibility for great sound.
