    @dt17

    EDM is every single style of dance music that is electronic. This includes trance. Its electronic, yes? Its dance music, yes? Its EDM. Stop saying “only big-room” is edm. Complete non-sense and this idea has been ripping apart peoples enjoyment. Less thinking, more good music.

    Nugget nailed it in his description.

    thanks for the reply GJ. Ill try to hit on everything you asked/said.

    Will i get his contacts/gig offers or anything of the sort: Jury is out on this one, he hasnt proved to me that hes a team player. Never had any support from him. Dont know. Thats what i would hope for, but not what ive seen.

    I make mixes just about every month, so the ONE mix he wants to play is not “my baby” But it is MY SOUND. Im very particular about music.

    As far as the songwriter question goes: I actively post every track artists and name and have never claimed anyones productions as my own. So yes i do say: “HEY THIS SONG WAS ACTIVELY WRITTEN BY SO AND SO…..” This is why we dj no? To share beautiful music even if not our own productions.

    Summary: I have no clue this guys intentions and he has never helped me out in the past. So i cant say that i will end up getting contacts or any business from this. Does this further your thoughts on it?

    It probably wont “hurt” me. But is this not a matter of principal here? I put the hard work into that mix, not him. Whos to say he wont 100% just claim that its his mix to better his own career? Am I way off base here? I havent ever run into this scenario.

    If it would hurt me in any way it would be that the mix gets used without giving proper credit.
