Must Be The Feeling (Kill The Noise Remix) -Nero (UK)DerekMemberokay i finally won the battle against the gain in traktor i think… i took a little advice from each of you and it working wonders …. i replaced my less than 320 kbps music with 320kbps quality, i turned off the autogain, im putting notes on my songs and preplanning my sets because although i improvise in the fly there are certain mixes that will sound a lot better if you have done them at least once and you know the deal, i cue on my headphones a lot as dj hessler taught me and finally the most important thing i learned is that you can now how to adjust the gain by watching the waveform thaks a lot
DerekMembersure mate thanks!
DerekMemberWow well seems like youre on the right path …. Hey would it be too much to ask from you a quick review of your controllers what would you say is the difference between the mixtrack pro and the n56?
DerekMemberDude its awesome… not my preferred genre to be honest but have to recognize it sets the mood…. For how long have you been doing this because i checked your profile and your set up kicks ass… And well your mixes definetely are really good, however im in no position to criticize but it is disappointing to see another straight-from-beatport-top-100-mix …

10/10 for mixing 7/10 for musicDerekMemberit wont let me like the page dunno why it just doesnt… I want to listen to it really bad
DerekMemberyoure absolutely right… i do need the stuff though… as i already told you, space is not a problem but i do wonder what will i do when space becomes an issue, because the controller is already pretty big and i cannot perform as well in cdjs and i definitely cant afford to buy a pair to practice…
DerekMemberwow good advise… damn i have a lot of homework.
DerekMemberwow is perfct ill look for a stand that fits the case then … thanks so much 5/5
DerekMemberwell i have traktor kontrol s4, i have denon hp 1000, i use traktor scratch pro 2, i have a laptop and a laptop stand, and i dont really have where to practice… The other thing is that i live in venezuela and there are no dubstep/dnb events here but is getting more and more popular and ive been playing in a friends house and is getting popular and theres more and more people coming but is getting to be a problem because i have to put my stuff in a table that has access to the people and they are always walking around and touching with curiousity, one guy even moved the jog wheel while i was getting a drink real quick so i need something like a stand or a case to put my stuff away from them.. IM afraid one idiot will spill his drink on my equipment or fall on top of it

It is true that some of us cant dj without the modern technology as many of us cant cook without a pan and a stove or commute without a car or a subway but the way i see it, that is not actually a bad thing because maybe things got easier but it also means that is going to be harder to stand out and raises the bar that separates a good dj from a bad dj. Maybe things got really easy when we got the stove and the pan but we got introduced into a whole new level of culinary arts that was impossible to reach before. As we know a good cook from the past maybe only had a bonfire and a wooden stick but as time goes by we create more and more amazing things by breaking barriers with technology and after all im pretty sure that no machine will replace us anytime soon. Thanks for the comment!
DerekMemberwell i tried platinum notes but i tested it before buyin it to make sure is worth the money and thanks god i did it because it creates a new file but the information is replaced by just the file name so you have to organize all your music almost from scratch … no way im doin that again… right now im doin what dj hessler suggested and its working a lot better although it takes me more time its a lot better and i guess as time goes by ill do it faster
DerekMemberWell all has been helpful but still i was mixing today some dnb and a heard on my headphones that both songs we around the same volume and if there was any difference it wasnt really noticeable but then when i dropped it it was very noticeable i dont know if the other really noticed it but i did a lot, i had to turn up the gain immediately to make up for the volume loss, is there an specific way to do this on your headphones or is there anything else i can do while in the mix to make sure it doesnt happen i need like specific details… something like put on your headphones and put the headphones mix knob in the middle or place the song where you are going to drop it and see the volume leds i dont know i cant seem to go around this problem … it doesnt happen with my new music from beatport but it happens with some older music i just cant delete like that…
