I just find that most places tend to not have enough security for the dj at the places around where I live, and gig. Ive seen other djays who are friends of mines laptops end up broken on the floor because of drunk idiots. I’m most worried about that I suppose.

Good Looks Vintage. I have a lot to think about. I do love my ns6. I think you’re absolutely right that I need to evaluate my workflow as it is now. I actually like having the laptop up, but I also know the hell that one can go through with having a laptop in the open when djaying particular types of venues. The only purpose of the nv for me would be to be able to tuck away my laptop so it is safe.

Are any of those import though? I live in the USA. I understand that DigitalDjtips is based in the UK, I’m assuming that If I ordered any of those systems here in the states, they would send them?

I ask only because not all gear can be imported/exported everywhere and sometimes the range of shipping is limited 🙂

No, lol. I meant as in a stand, that I can put my flightcase onto. Sorry for the confusion.

    Great Response!
I myself use my Numark Ns6 right now, which I have in a coffin case. It is the Magma “multi format workstation xxl” Which fits a wide range of controllers and mixers. I love having that portable solution for a stand that I can just pop my case and gear onto, especially if there isn’t a table or real booth in sight!

Yeah I do that, but the issue is that due to sometimes not being able to work with a planned set via a crate( because of where I may be spinning, I.E, a bar where I have to deal with requests, not always a club) I need the speed of being able to pre analyze all of my tracks ahead of time.
Any ideas on how to unlock the files, Terry_42 ?

Honestly, what I would do (and have done), is set cue points in all of your songs. D-Jam is right about using breakdowns. I will also say that the best way to go from house to trap is to keep the hype going. Never let there be a true “lull” in the mixing from these two styles. SET HOT CUES. SET LOOPS. MARK YOUR SECTIONS.
