You kept to the basic, mashing in an acapella with a drummy song, which is good and thankfully no overdone effects.
I really like it and would call it flawless victory. As I woke I checked Soundcloud and saw 3 plays on my mashup. I checked countries where plays were from and then I saw Austria x2, then I instantly thought it must be Terry reviewing this 😀 Thx Terry on positive comment!
FicParticipantNicely done mashup, will use it in my house gigs definitely.
FicParticipant+1 for Mp3tag…it’s one of the best ID3 tag editor I’ve used
FicParticipantIf you have promo code then you get discount in subscription and if you don’t have one then you leave it blank 😀
FicParticipantI’m sure that you will never regret the money that you will spend on that course if you are stuck with your controller like I was when I got my too 😀
FicParticipantFirst of all you are the one that know which music do you like. Don’t ever listen to anybody that is like: “You must play *input genre here*!”. You need to let that to your passion do it for you. Second, Phil’s course “How To DJ Fast” is one of the best crash courses in digital DJ-ing and it is highly recommended by me coz I learned all the basics from that course.
FicParticipantA pretty good mix there, as a trance lover I love it. Almost all transitions feel nice and smooth, but I think that you messed up your fist transition a bit. Nice begining of the day with nicely mixed trance.
Cheers and keep spininn’!
FicParticipantFor Traktor controller with 4 decks I will recommand you Traktor Kontrol S4, it is a bit higher price but if you have that budget then I think that this is the right choice. The only thing you need besides that controler is adapter for XLR outputs if you prefer them.

I think that Mike motivated most of us to take part in production stuff with his e-book, I’m trying to finish my trance mashup these days but collegue slows me down a little bit, but when I saw this thread I was like: “You need to finish your mashup as soon as possible!”
FicParticipantLijepo je poslušati i neki domaći mix ovdje na DDJT (sry on Croatian :D)
I listened to your mix when I woke up and it made me feel so relaxed when listening. Perfectly fits time when I listened it, I just love chill music in the morning so you made my day with this one.
FicParticipantAs long as you are the owner of both computers everything is legal in that case.
FicParticipantI am using Traktor and I’m also using comment field to display key coz many user had the same problem, so comments field is the answer on all your problems. On the key precision side MIK will always show more accurate key than any other coz their algoritams are much more complex than anyones else(just look the PCU usage at task manager when a analyzing your tracks).
FicParticipantDon’t think that iTunes is the problem here coz I use it too and everything works just fine(no problems with 0 BPM detection).
FicParticipantYou can just right click on your playlist/collection and the selsct Analyze(Async) option and it should analyze tracks that are in that playlist/collection.
FicParticipantYour song selection is ok but I feel that you have huge energy drops in some transitions. Trance is all about that energy level, when you pump your energy in the mix you shouldn’t do such energy drops in it. And I can notice that you pressed cue point too early around 1:38. Other that that is well done from my point of view.
