Have a listen to Pointblank FM. It’s a London based house music station that I happened apon on the radio while I was up there. Hooked ever since. They stream music on a wide variety of sources.

@Emma: Had a listen to your mix and it was lovely. Really smooth and fun. I’m forever banging out mixes and get incredibly frustrated when the mix doesn’t go well. I have to leave it and come back but usually I’ve gone off the boil by then and have to wait until I feel the groove again.

A great place for picking up the hottest new tunes is Living Electro. I find so many other places hard to search discover new music. This is just house and electro house (And Trance) but that’s it. Love it.

I like many others grew up in the heyday of clubbing and I never wanted it to go away. Mixing keeps me happy and reminds me of the good times. I get so excited when I either find an old classic or a really great new tune.

Long live the original SuperDJs 😀

I’m really into VirtualDJ. I’ve tried the others but this one fits the bill nicely. I sometimes use MixMeister to work out a rough mix so I can play about with mix placement before doing the real thing.

Got to say though, I’ve been into music production and DJing for years but only really performing the classic type of mix. How do I learn to spice things up a bit like the real club DJs?

DJ Toto, post: 599 wrote: I always discover new and exciting DJ/producers, but I think for me the most impressive and talented artist is by far Deadmau5.

His music is extremely original. I’ve only recently started listening to dubstep and what I like the most about the genre is that there seems to be no rules of what you can and can’t do. This is something that Deadmau5, with his techie background, has been able to break free of.

I also have a lot of respect for Eric Prydz. Everything he touches is pure gold. The sounds he uses in his tracks are all kind of similar, but every single riff/melody I hear from him is incredible.

Others I’m keeping a good eye on right now are Alesso, Tristan Garner, Skrillex and Feed Me.

Just like Daft Punk I like the idea of using a mask to disguise his true identity 😀

I’m really loving Tim Berg / Avcii at the moment. It seems that everything he does is amazing. What I’m really bored of now is David Guetta. Move on please, we know you use Head and Shoulders for silky smooth hair zzz
