Used a Denon mc3000 for a while then tried a S2mk2…went back to Serato.

Is it just me or is this like a death of a movie star? The demise of Vestax just seems to be shrouded in mystery and speculation as to why and what happened a bit like Bruce Lee when he died. I think what makes it even stranger is that the company were producing high quality goods that were possibly unmatched in durability and function..a bit like Bruce Lee. To be honest even I feel a certain lament for the ending of this company and I am only a middle aged hobbie DJ.

I agree with Vintage if you are being paid then it makes good business sense to put money away for the upkeep or complete renewal of your gear and just to be on the safe side I would personally give any Digi gear a 3 year lifespan and plan financially for 2. Incidently I still use a 2nd hand Vestax VCI 300MK2 with an Vestax VFX-1…archaic according to some but still works a treat and I believe it is the perfect size for a controller, unless your The Thing for the Fantastic 4!

Windows 10 is better than any previous version of the OS, it is faster and easier to get around from place to place within the OS. I upgraded immediately or very shortly after the 29th July. W10 has the same basic operating kernels as 7, 8, and 8.1 and so there is hardly any risk in upgrading to the new OS for Serato users as long as your PC is 100% compatible. I ran Serato DJ as soon as I upgraded long before Serato gave official support and with zero glitches!

Status haute….period! A controller would be my first choice personally. Easier to carry, just as good sound quality, more creative and a lot easier to replace if either stolen or damaged. Another personal opinion is CDJs are bloated tins with alot of tin taboot! Vinyl decks are completely out of the picture unless your name is Eddie Stobart…just to big and heavy! Stick with the controller and leave the CDj limpet trad hags in appraisal of what you have just done with your tool…read anything else into that and you need to marry!
